Filson High Camp 9oz Torch Flask hands-on review

The collaboration between Filson and High Camp Flasks doesn’t reinvent the product, but the two brands complement each other well. I wasn’t familiar with High Camp’s designs before this, though I expected solid craftsmanship. Filson generally partners only with makers who meet their quality standards.

Filson notes that the flask is built from premium stainless steel and holds 9 ounces, which is roughly 265 ml. The included tumbler attaches magnetically to the top and is sized for small servings, making it convenient for outdoor use.

The overall size is a bit larger than I anticipated. Its double‑wall construction adds some bulk but also gives it a sturdy, comfortable feel. A standout feature is the removable bottom. Unlike many flasks that are tricky to fill or clean, this one opens up completely, so you don’t need a funnel and can easily rinse it out. And you can even add some ice cubes.

The flask measures 7.5 inches (19 cm) tall with a 2‑inch (5 cm) diameter and weight of 12 ounces (345 g). One side features Filson’s branding, while the other displays the Torch Flask logo. From what I can tell, this Filson edition doesn’t seem to add much to the usual price of High Camp’s offerings.

Its compact shape makes it easy to slip into a briefcase, backpack, or coat pocket. Even the side pocket of the Filson 258 padded computer bag, which is too small for most bottles, fits this 9‑ounce Torch Flask perfectly. It’s a practical, discreet way to carry a small amount of your preferred beverage with a bit of style.
